Aluminum Casing Discontinued for Dyson
Earlier this year, Dyson introduced the new range of Dyson Airblade hand dryers and began to phase out the Airblade AB02 model. The replacement for the AB02 hand dryer was the AB06 which has the new Dyson v4 digital motor. The Dyson Airblade Mk2 AB06 hand dryer is now also unavailable. Both machines had an aluminum casing.
The replacement for the Airblade hand dryers with the aluminum casing are the new Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer (AB14). The AB14 hand dryer has the same performance as the original AB02 and AB04, but with a polycarbonate ABS casing, new Dyson v4 digital motor, and it is 50% quieter than the original Airblades. This type of ABS is very durable and is used for high endurance equipment like riot shields and football helmets.
Dyson has also introduced the Airblade V hand dryer and Airblade Tap hand dryer this year. The Dyson Airblade V hand dryer is ideal for small spaces with its 4” depth and is ADA-compliant without additional recessing. The Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryer: combines Airblade™ technology in a faucet, allowing hands to be washed and dried at the sink.
