Optional Recess Kit

Manufacturers have met the challenge of making a surface mounted hand dryer ADA compliant by offering an optional recess kits. These recess kits are brand and model specific. They are sold separately as an accessory to a hand or hair dryer and are not included with the purchase of the hand dryer. On HandDryerSupply.com the optional recess kit can be added to your order, or purchased separately by itself. Most hand dryers are surface mounted and are not ADA compliant, since they protrude more than 4 inches from the wall. If an optional recess kit is available for the specific model, installing the recess kit will make a non-ADA compliant hand dryer, ADA compliant. The wall box of the recess kit is mounted in the rough opening during construction and properly secured to the wall framing. The electrical wiring is run through a hole in the box and connected to the hand dryer, which is secured to the wall box, completing the recess kit.
