The AirMax DM5-974 hand dryer has a white steel cover is operated manually with a push button and is surface mounted to the wall. They will dry hands in 15 seconds, while providing for excellent durability in most any environment. Robust in design, they are perfect for high volume traffic restrooms where vandalism is a concern like schools, gas stations, and public activity centers. These push-button hand dryers have a lower noise level and use only 50% of the energy compared to other traditional hand dryers, proving a huge savings when compared to paper towels. Each Airmax comes with a 10 year limited warranty (5 year limited warranty on the motor and sensor, and 3 year on the motor brushes). The Airmax is the industry standard for high speed, manual hand dryers.

AirMax Dryer Construction:
Heavy duty one-piece covers & Finish - Vandal Resistant Cold Rolled Steel with a white epoxy enamel finish. The wall-mounted base is constructed of die-cast aluminum. The nozzle is constructed of die-cast zinc alloy finished in bright chrome.
Push Button Unit- Activated by electro-mechanical timer with 25 Amp switch and 20 second cycle. Chrome plated zinc die castings.
Motor - Thermally-protected, universal bursh-type motor operating at 12,000 RPM.
Heating Element - 1600 Watt NiChrome wire heating element protected by an automatic-resetting, thermal cutoff. Produces a 50°F temperature rise iPX1 ingress protection.
AirMax Dryer Placement - Dryers should be placed at least 2 feet apart and at least 12” from washbasin. Do not install dryer over washbasin. Automatic dryers should be at least 18” above any projection which may interfere with the operation of the automatic sensor.
Electrical Requirements - Hand dryers require a dedicated circuit (max. 20 amp) and must be properly grounded. GFI circuit protection is recommended.
Mounting - One side of the dryer should be mounted to a stud.
