Tony Conway ALS Fund

The Tony Conway ALS Fund was established to aid a great guy named Tony Conway and his family. Tony was diagnosed with ALS in 2011 at the age of 33. He passed on February 20th, 2015 at the age of 36.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Tony and his wife Amanda have two young children, Cora and Louise. They live in Lexington, Virginia. Tony was in my class at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He was a rabid soccer fan, player and coach. In 2012, The Conway Cup annual team-style soccer tournament was established to raise awareness and the plight of challenges ALS brings.
